A soothing, eucalyptus-laced Epsom salt bath to ease symptoms of a cold.
Muscle aches, zero energy and stuffy sinuses are seriously, the worst. Once a cold hits, the best thing you can do is to stock up on chicken soup, tissues, liquids and Epsom salts. Epsom salt is a naturally-occurring mineral that eases muscle aches and helps you get a good night’s sleep so that you can recover faster. Some doctors say that Epsom salt even speeds healing by detoxifying your body and stimulating circulation to boost your immune system. The addition of eucalyptus essential oil, which is loaded with decongestant qualities, can also alleviate those aches and pains while helping you breath easier.
Here’s what you need:
- 1 cup Epsom salt
- Eucalyptus essential oil
Here’s what you do:
Add the Epsom salts to a bathtub under warm running warm water. Add about eight drops of eucalyptus oil to the water. Sink back in the tub, take at least three deep breaths and then relax for about 10 minutes.
