A deliciously sweet pumpkin scrub for hands and feet.
Loaded with vitamin A and beta-carotene, pumpkins contain enzymes that when applied to skin, loosen the bonds that keep dead tissue cells clinging to the surface. Pumpkin therapy not only peels away dull outer cells but also delivers a burst of anti-aging and hydrating botanicals, leaving skin smooth and radiant. This pumpkin scrub recipe is great for dry hands and feet but also knees and elbows, too!
Here’s what you need:
- 1/4 cup organic canned pumpkin (or homemade pumpkin puree)
- 1/4 cup of brown sugar
- 1 tablespoon coffee grounds
- 1 tablespoon lemon juice
- 1 tablespoon of almond, jojoba or olive oil
- Pinch of clove (optional)
Here’s what you do:
Combine all ingredients in a small bowl, mixing well. Apply the pumpkin scrub to your feet, massaging gently with the mixture. Rinse with warm water and towel dry. For an extra punch of hydration, follow up with a moisturizer application. Store leftover scrub in the fridge for up to five days.
