A purifying, skin-softening body mask and bath soak.
Host of Veria Living TV’s Nirmala’s Spice World, Nirmala Narine was born in Guyana, South America to parents of Indian descent. Nirmala’s grandfather, an Arya Samaj Hindu Pandit, began teaching her yoga when she was just two years old and entrusted to her ancient Ayurvedic spice recipes, techniques and treatments to heal the body from within. In this soothing home spa recipe, Nirmala uses a mixture of rich coconut milk, yogurt, honey, banana and a smidgen of fresh nutmeg to soften skin and create a luxurious bath soak.
Here’s what you need:
- 4 tablespoons coconut milk
- 1 tablespoon plain yogurt
- 2 tablespoons honey
- Pulp of one ripe banana (the riper, the better)
- Pinch of freshly grated nutmeg
Here’s what you do:
In a small warm bowl, add all ingredients and mix. Set aside while you fill your bathtub with warm water. Massage the mixture onto your body in circular motion, until you’ve used it all up. Soak in tub for 15 to 20 minutes.
