Opened in December 2005, the VH Spa for Vitality + Health at Hotel Valley Ho is a hip departure from the overdone desert opulence found at some resort spas in the area. Tucked on the second floor of the chic downtown Scottsdale landmark, the urban retreat makes use of expansive windows and fresh white and blue hues to create a light, energetic vibe. The treatment menu echoes the breezy, easy feel of the spa by not overwhelming you with choices and includes practical skin and body services along with a few goodies like the signature red flower Hammam full-body treatment. By most resort spa standards, the changing lounge is on the small side but the snappy 50s tunes, mod sitting room and thoughtful touches (like a separate body and face wash in the showers…love that!) all merge to make it a comfortable transitional space. You’ll find seven private treatment rooms, one double treatment room, an outdoor spa deck and an open-air fitness room with a sweet view of the grounds and pool. The spa boutique is a perfect last stop with Hotel Valley Ho gear, gifts and selection of unique beauty products.
