Former ABC15 TV producer and reporter, Jodie Heisner now owns and runs Bottom Line Media Coaching. This busy mom of two has a decade of broadcast journalism under her belt and now works behind the scenes, prepping clients for on-screen interviews. When it comes to her beauty routine, Jodie keeps her fresh, youthful glow without dropping stacks of cash. Read how!
So, let’s start with the basics. What do you keep in your beauty bag?
I don’t believe you have to spend a fortune to look beautiful. Most of my favorite products come from the drugstore, and I’m OK with that! Some of my must-haves include Maybelline Falsies Mascara because it gives me lush, 1960s cat eyes; Olay Regenerist Eye Lifting Serum for keeping me wrinkle-free; Maybelline Dream Liquid Mousse & Matte Powder in creamy neutral because it works great for high-definition TV and is comparable to Mac Studio Fix products; and Aveeno Positively Radiant Moisturizer SPF 30. I am blonde and fair, so SPF is a MUST for me. I’ve been using this product for years!
Is there anything you’re dying to add to your collection?
I really want to try Clarins Beauty Flash Balm. I hear it’s like a shot of Espresso for your face. Anything to keep me from looking as tired as I really am sounds great to me!
Where is your favorite place to buy beauty products?
Honestly, Walgreens! I wish I had time and money to hit the department stores, but like many busy working moms out there, I just don’t. I am making it OK for all of the other undercover drug store beauty shoppers out there.
We love that you’re budget-minded! Where do you go when you want to really indulge?
About every six months I love to spend the day at the spa and get a great massage, mani, pedi and facial. I love the Spa Avania at Hyatt Regency Gainey Ranch when I am going for the whole experience, but when I need an amazing stress-busting massage, I love Cloud 9 Salon and Spa.
